Open the Bible together and read Daniel 3:10-28 or watch the video together on the Parent Cue app.

MEMORY VERSE

“I will always love you.”

Jeremiah 31:3, CEV

Engagement Questions

  • Who loves you?
  • Who can live for God and do what God says?

Prayer

"Dear God, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego chose to live their life for You. Please help me live my life for You too. I’m so thankful that You love me. I love You, too, God! In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen."

ENGAGE IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS TOGETHER

Morning Time

When you go into your child’s room, say: "Good morning, [child's name]! Let's start our day by asking God to help us live for Him. (Cuddle child.) God, thank You for a new day. Thank You for always loving us. Please help us live for You today by loving others, helping, sharing, and saying kind words. We love You, God. In Jesus' name. Amen."

Drive Time

While on the go, talk about ways we can live for God. (Help others. Forgive. Say kind words. Pray for others. Share what we have.)

Cuddle Time

Cuddle with your child and pray: "God, sometimes it's hard to not do what everyone else is doing. But even when it's hard, [child's name] and I want to live for You like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego did. Please give us the courage to always love You the way You always love us."

Bath Time

Add three toy people to bath time to act out the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Say: "Three men lived for God, so they did not bow to the king's statue. The king got mad and threw the men into a fire. (Knock toys into water.) God was with the men, and God kept them safe! (Put toys back on edge of tub.) Yay, God!"
