Insight: TRANSFORMATION
Discipleship Kit:
- Parent Guide – Use this parent guide to help you walk through discipling your preschooler this week
- Story Video – Each week there will be a new Story Video to watch (from Orange Media)
- Memory Verse Video – Your preschooler will learn this month’s memory verse along with hand signals
Activities:
- Home Connection
- NEED: Activity Pages, crayons, scissors & glue
- DO: Repeat the memory verse together with the motions. Point out the verse on the page and “read” it with the children as you point to the words. Show them the blanks and the words at the bottom of the page. Encourage them to cut out the three words at the bottom of the page and then glue the words in the blanks.
- SAY: “On the page in front of you are the words of our verse. But some of the words are missing! Do you see the three blanks on the page? There are three words at the bottom that go in those blanks. Remember, our verse says, ‘Jesus answered, “I am the way (point to the blank then the word at the bottom), the truth (point to the blank then the word at the bottom), and the life,”’ (point to the blank then the word at the bottom), John 14:6. Cut out each word at the bottom of the page then glue them into the blanks. You did a great job, friends! Jesus IS the way, the truth, and the life. He will help us because He is the best friend ever. Who can help you do everything? [Bottom Line] Jesus can help me do everything.”
- MORNING TIME
- When you go into your child’s room, say: "Good morning! I see someone who can choose self-control because Jesus can help them do everything. (short pause) It's YOU! (gently tickle your child) Jesus can help YOU do everything!"

There’s Jesus on your paper. But where are the children? (Hold up the pictures of the children.) Here they are! Glue the children close to Jesus. (Pause.) Great job! Now you can use the crayons to color them. When Jesus heard the disciples tell the children to go away, He gently said ‘Let the little children come to me!’ Jesus let the children come right up front. He hugged them and was kind and talked to them. Jesus was being gentle, and Jesus wants to help us be gentle, too. Jesus can help us choose to be gentle! Jesus can help us do everything. Let the children take turns pushing the basket so the “donkey” can give the baby a ride. Then ask the children to help you take off the bandages because the baby is all better.
- SAY: “Our Bible story today was about a Samaritan man who helped a hurt man. Let’s pretend this baby doll is hurt and needs our help. Here are some bandages. We can wrap the baby doll’s boo-boos like the Samaritan man did in our story. After the Samaritan man wrapped the hurt man’s boo-boos, he put the hurt man on his donkey. This can be our donkey. (Place basket in front of the children.) Look! It’s a donkey head. We can put the baby doll inside, like this. (Put the baby doll in the basket.) When I say your name, you can push the donkey. (Say each child’s name and let them push the donkey a little.) The Samaritan man took the hurt man to a place where he could rest and get all better. He even paid for it! Let’s take all of the bandages off the baby doll because the boo-boos are all better! Yay! (Repeat the activity if time and interest allow.) The Samaritan man in our story chose kindness and helped the hurt man. When Jesus is our friend forever, He can help us choose kindness, too. Jesus can help us do everything! So when I ask, ‘Who can help you do everything?’, I want you to say, [Bottom Line] ‘Jesus can help me do everything.’ Who can help you do everything? [Bottom Line] Jesus can help me do everything. Our Bible story today was about how God loves us SO much that He gave us Jesus (hold up Jesus) to be our friend forever. Everyone, hold up your Jesus, like this. When Jesus is your friend forever, He can help you choose love (hold up heart). Hold up your heart, like this. Good job! Now we can use our Jesus and heart to say this: Jesus (hold up Jesus) can help [your name] love (hold up heart) everyone! Let’s say that together, only you say your name instead of mine. Here we go! Jesus (hold up Jesus) can help [your name] love (hold up heart) everyone!” (Repeat a few times.) God loves us so much that He gave us Jesus to be our friend forever. This week: God rests on day seven after making the whole world and everything in it. Genesis 1:1-2:3
MAY 29TH PRESCHOOL CURRICULUM
"God saw everything he had made. And it was very good." Genesis 1:31, NIrV
Bottom Line: God made everything
This week: God rests on day seven after making the whole world and everything in it. Genesis 1:1-2:3
Insight: CREATION
Discipleship Kit:
- Parent Guide – Use this parent guide to help you walk through discipling your preschooler this week
- Story Video – Each week there will be a new Story Video to watch (from Orange Media)
- Memory Verse Video – Your preschooler will learn this month’s memory verse along with hand signals
Activities:
- Home Connection
- NEED: Activity Pages, crayons or markers, scissors, and a brad
- DO: Encourage children to color their pages. Talk through the Days of Creation and what God made on each day. Have the children spin their circle to the correct pictures as you review.
- SAY: “I love the story of how God created the entire world and everything in it. Let’s make a craft showing all the things God made. Take your circle and color it to make it look like the world. The green represents the land, and the blue represents the water. (Pause.) Great! Now take these wedges We will color pictures of the things that God made on this circle. (Point.)
On day one, we learned that God made light and dark. Do you see a picture of light and dark? On day two, God made sky and water. Do you see a picture with the sky and water in it? (Pause.) Great! Okay! On day three, God made land, plants, and sea. Next is day four. God made the sun, moon, and stars on day four. God made the birds and fish on day five. Do you see the picture of birds and fish? (Pause.) Great! Then on day six, God made animals and people. Fantastic! This wedge with the writing says, ‘God looked at everything he had made, and it was very good.’ After that, He rested. (Stack and align child’s papers and Add the brad to secure.) We’ll use these as we review our story one more time.”
We know that God made the whole world and everything in it. In the very beginning, there was nothing—no people, no animals, no land, no ocean, no sun, just nothing. But there was God. And God was about to do something amazing.
On the first day, God said ‘Let there be light.’ And there was light, and it was good. Then God decided to separate the light from the dark. He called the light ‘day’ and the dark ‘night.’ Find the picture of light and dark. (Pause.) On the second day, God made the water and the sky up above. Find the picture of the sky and water. (Pause.) On the third day, God made the land, sea, plants, and trees. Can you find the picture of day three? (Pause.) Nice!
On the fourth day, God made the sun, moon, and lots of tiny lights in the night sky called stars. Move to that picture. (Pause.) Great! On the fifth day, God made everything that swims in the sea and flies in the sky. God made fish and birds with their wonderful colors and shapes! Find that picture. (Pause.) Super! On the sixth day, God made all the animals, big and small. But that wasn’t all God made on day six. He made His most special creation—people! God made the first man, Adam, and the first woman, Eve. He told Adam and Ever to eat the fruit from the trees in the garden and watch over all the animals.
After God made the people, He looked over everything He had made and said, ‘That’s very good.’ On the seventh day, God looked at all the good things He had made and rested. God made the whole world and everything in it, and it was good. Who made everything? [Bottom Line] God made everything."
